Akron Gallery through the work of Martin Hilstad, promotes analogue photography and encourages public appreciation of the medium.
Martin will present and discuss his photographic work at Akron Gallery on Friday 13 January at 17 o'clock.
Martin Hilstad resides in Trondheim. This is a collection of street and/or architecture shots from Bulgaria, Japan, Latvia, Norway and Poland. Martin picked up his first film roll around 2010, and has shot and developed films since. Mostly black and white.
In an increasingly ephemeral and chaotic world consisting of confused AIs, malicious algorithms, NFTs, DLCs, doomscrolling and wayward genderpics, film (and other tactile media) offers a sense of presence in the world; Something tangible till the bombs fall.
ANALOGUE IN DIGITAL EXHIBITION // Analogue photography exhibition is presented digitally with some print examples from the darkroom.
Opening times
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 - 16:00
