The mysterious floral worlds of Astrid Anette Carlsen are captured with contrast of black and white, with markers and acrylic paint. They represent biological diversity and physics, often with an ambivalent aftertaste of both misanthropy and wonder.
Astrid is a Msc Biology Student at NTNU, and a self taught artist with a surge to connect her imaginative world to the real one. Her first exhibition was held at Akron Gallery throughout April, 2018.
