Exhibition OBSTRUCTION, Tania Winther

We are glad to invite you to the exhibition OBSTRUCTION of our guest artist Tania Winther.

Tania is a multi-media artist, designer and interior designer, located in Trondheim, Norway. Her creative expression finds inspiration through her interdisciplinary approach to all designs, illustrations and paintings, lino-cut and woodcut.

With a wide background in both the sciences and the arts, she provides the viewer with great amusement and interest.

For this exhibition OBSTRUCTION Tania is showcasing some recent paintings and her new found love for D.G.A and mixed media. City scapes are a new series she has created inspired by pop-art and the influence of our digitalized world.

Winther is not an intuitive painter. All her works are carefully planned. Both when working in design as in the intersection to art. Her paintings and drawings are often memories collected from photos she has taken of a scene. Specifically with the intention to create a design or artwork from it.

Together with the exhibition of Tania Winther, you will have the oportunity to see the work of the permanent artists of Akron gallery: Camilla Vavik Pedersen and Vangelis Kalos.
